It's Skin Night! New Routine & New Products

Hey everyone! I know it's been far too long, but since all the life related craziness has reached a glorious calm, I am back! And, it's Summer! I have so many great summer post ideas, plus, as a new vegetarian, I'm introducing some lifestyle/fitness/recipe/what I ate today posts! I'm super excited to get back on this ride with you guys. So, in the spirit of Summer, let's jump right on in.

Today was my favorite night of the week. It varies week by week, but without fail, once a week, I take an hour or so and focus on rejuvenating my skin hardcore. I call it Skin Night. It's like a mini spa all for myself. It's so relaxing and so lovely. Especially on a warm, wet Summer night. Here's what I use to keep up with my Summer skin, and some products I am obsessed with. Here goes!

I start off like I always do, with my favorite exfoliator. My skin gets really confused in the summer heat, and I get much more combo skin than my normal dry. So, I need to be really picky with my products. The Botanics Age Defense Microdermabrasion Exfoliator. It's very effective at removing the dry patches from my T-zone, but also soaking up all that excess oil. After I scrub and rinse, I have the perfect canvas for the rest of the treatments.

Then, to clean out my pores, I use my Boscia Konjac Charcoal Cleansing Sponge with my tried and true Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. My in depth review of both can be found right here! It's amazing for the Summer. I overproduce oil like crazy once it gets hot out, and I've noticed that this combo keeps it under control. As most of my readers know, I use this cleanser as a part of my daily skin care routine, so if you want to get your oil production under control, I highly recommend this at least once every other day.

My next step is my new favorite Freeman's Feeling Beautiful mask. The Sweet Tea and Lemon Peel-Away Clay Mask. You guys know I am a sucker for a mask. They do more to relax me than just about anything else. Since they get hard and crack, they force me to shut up and focus on reading, or listening to music; sometimes I'll take the 15 minute mask time and meditate! Not to mention that it cleans my skin out like nothing else. That's why I only use it once a week. More than that and I think it would be drying. It smells great and the texture is amazing. My skins is gorgeously smooth and brighter after using. Apply it in a thick, even layer, leave on for 15 minutes, and peel away!

The penultimate treatment is the whole reason why I wanted to write this post in the first place. This is the last mask I apply on skin night. The BioRepublic Aloe Sheet Mask; it's a bit pricy, but I swear, it's completely, utterly, 100% worth it. I got a BioRepublic mask from a close friend to try and since then, I've bought tons! This mask brightens and hydrates my skin more than any other product I've used. It smoothes my skin and gives it an airebrushed look without a drop of makeup. They glow I get after using this mask is beyond belief. And right now, they have a free sample promo going on! Plus, the mask gives a stunning cooling effect, which, in these hot summer months it's a godsend. Another really convenient aspect is that you can rub the excess product into the skin; no need to rinse!

A constant favorite here on MNYL, the ubiquitous Vitamin E Moisture Cream. After all my treatments and masks, I spread a light layer all across my face. It provides lightweight moisture that has staying power. My skin is supple and hydrated for 24 hours without being oily. You guys know I love it, and I still do!

Hope you guys are inspired to treat yourself and your skin this week! It's so worth it. Take an hour for yourself and see how much your skin and your attitude improves. I am back, y'all and this is just the start! Stay tuned for vegetarian recipes, Summer beauty and fashion, and fun!
